OSCILLATORIAL BINNAGE
Since 2004 I’ve played music in an experimental quartet called Oscillatorial Binnage. We often play homemade instruments and create large scale sound installations.
In 2018 we released an album on Subrosa records which you can buy here
We’ve played many gigs including at Tate Modern, South London Gallery & Cafe Oto
We’ve been featured in Wire Magazine & Electronic Sounds Magazine
Our music was used extensively on the soundtrack for the award winning film ‘Gulyabani’
ART INSTALLATIONS:
Desert Prayer (Between Tic & Toc) is a site specific sound installation connecting the church clock to an improvised 'gong' made from the original baptismal pan installed in the church baptistry, echoing a meditative pulse between time and eternity
Just Between You & Me is a site specific sculpture comprising a set of BMW backlights which have been programmed with the brake lightings and indicator blinkings of the journey from the artist's flat to the gallery where they are exhibited
Pop(Frame) is an installation where the viewer is invited to make microwave popcorn. Each pop triggers a frame from Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times
Fire Place invites the viewer to step into a fireplace in a pitch black room. The sound of crackling fire plays and a light slowly pulses from within the chimney
